The St. Simon Stakes is a Group 3 flat horse race in Great Britain which is open to thoroughbreds aged three years or older. It is run at Newbury over a distance of 1 mile, 4 furlongs and 5 yards (2,419 metres), and it is scheduled to take place each year in October.
The event is named after St. Simon, an undefeated racehorse in the 1880s, and subsequently a highly successful sire. It was established in 1969, and the inaugural running was won by Rangong.
When the present system of race grading was introduced in 1971, the St. Simon Stakes was classed at Group 3 level. It is now restricted to horses which have not won a Group 1 event since the age of two.
